The basic ingredient of Zerit is Stavudine. It is a NARTI (nucleoside analog reverse-transcriptase inhibitor). NARTI is nothing but a thymidine analog. The cellular kinases phosphorylate the NARTI (Stavudine) into Stavudine triphosphate.
