Desloratadine is an anti-allergic drug with anti-histamine components or ingredients. It is generally prescribed for relieving chronic allergic rhinitis (swollen and inflamed nasal mucous membrane) along with idiopathic urticaria (a form of skin rash with an unknown cause). It is also known to heal and cure regular hives or pruritus. This medicine is generally avoided to be given to 6 month old babies or any younger. Some other symptoms might also have this drug as prescription. One can have them either in the form of tablets (regular and dispersible) or also as oral solutions.
